About the faculty
Teaching staff: 7 professors, 39 associate professors, 25 senior teachers, 5 assistants
Students: The total number of students is 1007, of which 858 are full-time and 149 are part-time.
The Faculty of Transport was established in 1975. Initially, the faculty was called "Road Construction" faculty. There are 4 departments at the faculty, two of them are specialty departments:
1. "Transport and logistics"
2. "Geomatics"
3. "Emergency situations and safety of life activity "
4. "Physics and chemistry"
Education at the faculty
Applicants wishing to enter the faculty should take part in the entrance (test) exams held by the State Examination Center. Education at the faculty is conducted in the Azerbaijani language. Semester exams are conducted through monitoring, test methods and a special program at the department. Scholarships are awarded to full-time students based on their overall average achievement (OAA), regardless of whether they are studying on a government-ordered or fee-paying basis. The tuition fee for full-time students is 2,000 AZN and for part-time students is 1,700 AZN.
The governing bodies of the faculty are the Scientific Council and the dean's office. The composition of the Faculty Scientific Council consists of 12 people (2 doctors of sciences, professors, 7 candidates of sciences, associate professors, 2 senior teachers, 2 students). The Scientific Council of the Faculty is headed by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Yusifzade Elchin Nazim oglu. The dean's office of the "Transport" faculty trains specialists in 5 specialties at the bachelor's level. Specialist training at the faculty is carried out as follows:
1. 050710 – Land management and real estate cadastre
2. 050612 – Geomatics and geodetic engineering
3. 050621 - Logistics and transport technology engineering
4. 050632 - Transport engineering
5. 050633 - Transport construction engineering
6. 050614-Engineering of safety of life activity
Organization of education
Classes at the faculty are conducted in the format of projects, lectures and practical classes. Depending on the specialization, project-oriented subjects consist of a course project, a course work, which consistently complement each other throughout the entire teaching process.
The student's knowledge is assessed with a maximum of 100 points. The student gets 50 points during the semester and 50 points in the exam. The 50 points collected during the semester include:
for attendance - 10 points
for individual work - 10 points
according to the results of classes, seminars or laboratory classes - 30 points
If the course work (project) on the subject is envisaged, then 20 points are given for training (seminar) and laboratory classes, 10 points for preparation and defense of the course work (project).
The student's score on the exam should not be less than 17 points. A student who does not participate in more than 25% of all hours allocated to the subject will not be admitted to the exam in that subject.
According to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), a student's knowledge of the final score on a subject during the semester is assessed as follows:

4th year students undergo a 14-week Technological Manufacturing internship in the last (VIII) semester under the supervision of an internship supervisor appointed at the relevant specialties, and are evaluated by a commission established at the university on a 100-point scale.
Students are considered to have graduated from the university by passing the State Examination on Final Certification or defending their dissertation.
The process of assessing the knowledge of students is carried out by means of tests and written examinations at the end of the semester (autumn and spring semesters), depending on the subjects taught. Academic debt arises if students studying in relevant specialties do not pass the semester exam in any subject during their studies. Participates in individual and subgroup classes for the relevant semester on the basis of the student's application to the dean's office to cancel the academic debt, and an exam is held at the end of the semester. According to item 3.2.14 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 24, 2013 No. 348 "On approval of the Rules of organization of education at the bachelor's and master's levels of higher education institutions and master's level of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences" On the basis of the student's application to the dean's office for cancellation, there is an opportunity to cancel the academic debt by re-examining with 25% of the credit of the relevant subject for the relevant semester.
Tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for full-time students is AZN 2,000, and for part-time students is AZN 1,700. Regardless of whether they are studying on a state-funded or paid basis, full-time students are entitled to ordinary (AZN 75 per month), good (AZN 110 per month), and excellent (AZN 130 per month) scholarship depending on their overall GPA for the semester exams.
