AzUAC Staff Continues Their Efforts to Increase Their activity on the Scopus International Database Through Training Sessions

Organized by the Scientific Research Department of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC), an online webinar titled "Managing Author's Profile in Scopus, Factors Influencing Citation in Publications" was conducted in collaboration with ELSEVIER company for the professorial staff. Approximately 40 AzUACemployees participated in the webinar.

The director of the Scientific Research Department, Narmin Rzayeva, emphasized that increasing the university's scholarly metrics is a priority for the department. She provided information that the contract signed this year to ensure the inclusion of university researchers' outputs in the Scopus database is a positive step in this direction. According to the department director, future plans include more effective management of relations between the university and ELSEVIER company.

During his presentation, Kirill Ivanov, an analytical consultant at ELSEVIER, addressed issues relevant to those who publish or plan to publish articles in international scientific journals and aim to increase the visibility of their research portfolio internationally. He provided detailed information on forming and editing author profiles in Scopus, as well as mechanisms to increase references to publications. The company representative also discussed the tracking of references to published articles by our university staff and, in addition to references, other impact indicators of authors. Ivanov emphasized the university's precise and comprehensive profile on Scopus as a result of successful collaboration between the company and the Scientific Research Department.

At the end of the webinar, questions from the professorial staff were answered.
