The dean office of foreign students

History and mission. Personnel for foreign countries have been training at the University of Architecture and Construction since 1977. From the beginning day, more than 1300 students from more than 40 countries graduated from this University and about 60 of them got academic degree. The dean office organizes education in bachelor, master as well as PhD in Russian and Azerbaijan language. (In faculty of architecture have been taught subjects in English for bachelor students since 2007). The education is executed in full and part time systems.

Faculty education. The foreign students of the University are taught with international education system that was defined by Bologna convention since 2009-2010.

The students who intend to study bachelor degree have to present the certification of preparation faculty and the education is prolonged in accordance with the major and language that were taught in preparation faculty. The contract is made between foreign student and the University. Full time education is 4 and half time education is 5 years. (ther is no half time education for Architectural faculty) Education is executed in azerbaijan and russian languages and for Architectural faculty english language is available too. Student graduating bachelor degree succesfully gets diploma.

The graduates that made good progress in bachelor are able to continue their education in master. The foreign students that didn’t get bachelor degree from Azerbaijan Universities have to pass language courses in order to study master degree. The contract is made between foreign student and the University. In master full time education period is 2 years and the half time education is 2,5 years. There is no half time education in Architectural faculty. Student finishing academic years succesfully gets diploma of master.

Master students are able to continue their education for PHD degree. The students that didn’t get master in Azerbaijan have to pass language courses.
