ENROLMENT RULES FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS TO THE UNIVERSITY

 

I   Education for foreign citizens at the preparation faculty

1. Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens

 

Submittion of documents to the preparatory faculty lasts from September 1 to October 30 of each academic year.

Study hours at the Preparatory faculty begin on the 15 ^th of September.

Requested documents for enrolment to the Preparatory faculty are:

- Application to the Rector  for admittance to  the Preparatory faculty  ( indicating speciality and teaching language)

- Documents on studied subjects and marks (scores) on these subjects.

- Medical certificate and AIDS analyzing test given by the health authorities of student’s country.

- Copy of  Passport  or Identification Card  ( indicating a visa for Azerbaijan Republic)

- Biography

- 8 photos (3x4)

Enumerated documents must be translated into Azerbaijan language and affirmed by notary.

A contract is concluded between foreign citizen and the University.  Student has to pay tuition fee amounted by affirmation of Ministry of Educationat  by USD at the beginning of each semester.

Indemnified tuition fee is not repaid in the cases foreign student is not able to continue his/her education for valid or invalid reasons, or is expelled from University on above mentioned principles.   

Student gets status from the day the university admittance order is given for foreign citizen.

Term of training at the preparatory faculty of the university is one academic year.

The courses of language last 3 -6 months.

Training languages in Preparatory faculty are Azerbaijan, Russian and English for the speciality of architecture.

Registration of foreign citizens is conducted  at the State Migration Service  of Azerbaijan Republic :

- One  year  right to reside

Foreign students make use of library, sport complexes, medical service, hostel, as well as, other rights determined for Azerbaijani students paying tuition fee.  Foreign students also:

- keep  order in the educational institution ;

- do not let dissipate property of the educational institution;

- have to recover losses through their fault, in the educational institution;

Certificate is given to foreign students successfully graduated from the Preparatory Faculty, according to their specialties and training language.

 

 

 

II   Education on bachelor degree of the University

 

Deadline for admittance of documents is September 15 for full-time tuition and October 30  for  postal tuition,  of each academic year.

Study hours for  full-time tuition begin on the 15 ^th of September.

1. Requested documents for enrolment of foreign citizens to the university are:

-  Certificate on graduating  from  the preparatory faculty ( students have to  continue education according to their specialties and training language)

- Application to the Rector  for admittance to  the university  ( indicating speciality)

- Document on education (indicating studied subjects )

- Medical certificate and AIDS analyzing test given by the health authorities of student’s country.

- Copy of  passport  or identification card  ( indicating a visa for Azerbaijan Republic)

- Biography

- 8 photos (3x4)

Training term at the university is  4 years for full-time tuition, and  5 years for postal tuition.

(There is no postal tuition at the Architectural faculty)

Training languages are Azerbaijan, Russian and English for the speciality of architecture.

4. Registration of foreign students training on full-time tuition, is conducted at the State Migration Service  of Azerbaijan Republic :

-  They are given  one  year  right to reside

5. Foreign students make use of library, sport complexes,   medical service, hostel,  as well as,  other rights  determined for  Azerbaijani students paying tuition fee.  Foreign students also:

- keep order in the educational institution;

6. Successfully graduated foreign student  gets bachelor  diploma approving his/her speciality and degree.

 

  

III Education on masters’ degree of the University

Students making good progress on bachelor degree may continue their education on master’s degree of the directions according to their bachelor diploma. Foreign citizens graduated bachelor degree abroad of Azerbaijan Republic have to finish language courses at Preparatory faculty for foreign students for enrolment to the master’s degree.

Study hours for master’s degree begin on the 15 ^th of September.

A contract is concluded between foreign citizen and the University.  Master has to pay tuition fee by USD, amounting to the affirmation of Ministry of Education,  at the beginning of each semester.

Indemnified tuition fee is not repaid in the cases foreign master is not able to continue his/her education  for  valid or invalid reasons, or  is expelled from University on above mentioned  principles.   

Training term for  masters degree  is  2 years for full-time tuition, and  2.5 years for  postal tuition.

(There is no postal tuition at the Architectural faculty)

Successfully graduated foreign master gets master diploma approving his/her speciality and degree.

 

IV Education on doctoral degree of the University

 

Foreign citizens successfully graduating from master’s degree may continue their education on doctoral degree. Foreign citizens graduated master’s degree abroad of Azerbaijan Republic have to finish language courses.
