History and mission. The faculty was formed on June, 1976. Specialists working in the field of manufacturing of construction materials, products and structures, design and isolating materials, porcelain and glass materials, as well as specialists learning peculiarities of building materials and technologies of getting new building materials, providing security of the construction complex and liquidation of its consequences, security of life activity, as well as specialists on woodworking and technology of furniture manufacture are trained here.

Study at the faculty. School-leavers, who are willing to enter the faculty, have to take part in entrance exams held by the State Students Admittance Committee. The study at the faculty is provided in Azeri and Russian languages. 

Specialities:

Subjects: Concrete study, manufacturing technique of concrete and reinforced concrete products and structures, manufacturing technique of wall-mounted, design and isolating materials, hydrothermal woodworking, manufacturing technique of glued wood materials,  manufacturing technique of ornaments for firewood, emergency management, monitoring during emergency and prognosis, stability of economic facilities during emergency, manufacturing technique of making new construction materials, corrosion of materials, engineering protection of environment,  engineering ecology, ecological stability, chemical technique of sticky materials, corrosion and protection of materials, process of chemical technique and equipment.

Spheres of practice. Students studying at the faculty of construction technology have practice on the facilities of the Ministry of Emergency, Ecology and Natural Resources, Labour and Welfare of population, on the facilities of the Republic, on concrete and brick working, enterprises on furniture production.

Direction of research. Research works are being held at the faculty in the following directions: development of manufacturing technique of low-temperature ceramic materials, on the basis of local raw materials, technique of woodwork and waste use, possibilities of usage of timber stock obtained as a result of cutting down forests of Azerbaijan. Prevention of natural and anthropogenic threats and elaboration of reasonable measures on their lessening, hardening of concrete and soda-and-mineral gluing and peculiarities of structure formation processes, obtaining and usage of  different-purpose dry construction mixtures on the basis of local raw materials, control of cement systems and structure of modifiers and regulation of their properties and qualities.

Faculty. There are 47 workers in the faculty. 3 of them are professors, 34 candidates of science, docents, teachers
