The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction is located in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Having a total area of 4900м2, the university includes 5 educational buildings and campus. There are 9 storeyed hostel and the hostel "Damla" functioning on commercial basis in the campus for foreign students. The university complex also includes buildings of college and lycée. The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction functioned as faculty since 1920 within various higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan. In 1975 as a result of the decision of the Cabinet of the Azerbaijan Republic the Azerbaijan Construction Institute was established. In 1992 the institute received the status of University, and on 13th of June, 2000 this higher educational institution was renamed into the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction by order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Heydar Aliyev.
